Our Culinary Journey - Having An Austrian Moment

When Anna and myself, Stefanie connected back in 2014, we’d come from very different backgrounds, though we became quick friends caught in a strong connection as a team. Both eager to dive into various fields involving design, photography, branding and social media, we found a very unique base to go from. Work became an exciting and beautiful playground of experimentation. (Thank you to LOOP and Mike who had a huge influence on that.)

Try and fail, then try and fail again, then try until you finally succeed — so became our cycle, which gave birth to a shared unshakable belief. Storytelling and seeking beauty in the smallest of details together sets our souls on fire, and it’s what keeps our faith when fatigued by daily routine.

When Anna and I headed for different directions in 2015 we started a blank Evernote to collect all our ideas, because one was for sure: there was something out there waiting for us to address as a team.

Our thinking has always been driven by creating something beautiful out of what we were given.

We’ve found inspiration after taking a second look at things and people. Beauty, handcraft and dedication that’s missed at first can reveal itself with further inspection. That’s what ultimately inspires us and drives us to always stay fresh as creatives.

You feel nostalgia. You add what nature gives you. You refine classics.

Austria. That’s where we grew up. It’s there that branded us and our way of creativity. It’s there that food and nature rooted themselves in us and we learned to appreciate handwork as a down-to-earth way of addressing life. It’s a belief in quality, in nature, in food, as the most natural and social element of life.

Honest looks will take us back to all kinds of Austria’s corners — from the highest alpine regions, to green valleys, refreshing lakes, and high nutrient rivers — to find exciting natural concepts, people breaking rules and overlooked creators.

Getting to the core and soul of what a new generation of Austrian nature and food advocates are bounded by, we will present a beautiful ODE TO AUSTRIA starting 2018.

To kick off our common culinary journey again we took a few days off this autumn to surround ourselves in nature, craft some first spontaneous recipe ideas, and play with photography.
